Okay okay since you've mentioned Trahearne in your last post with the chaotic tall ladies, I gotta ask how does/did Aedira feel about him 👀

ok sorry this took so long i wanted to draw smth for this answer but then i uh. didn’t

anyway! they were besties!! like the canon non-sylvari commander they met at claw island, which was a super bad time for both of them. trahearne was depressed and alienated from his time in orr, and aedira had just lost her father figure (forgal) and accidentally killed her own squadmate/friend in the aftermath (i will get into this another time perhaps lmao.) considering aedira was 100% about to get kicked out of the vigil, it came as a surprise that trahearne wanted her help starting the pact, and she was actually pretty suspicious of his motives for a while. truthfully, trahearne just desperately wanted a friend and sympathized with aedira’s position. they got close throughout the orr campaign, and aedira started seeing him as a brother figure, as she does with like. literally every close friendship. biggest sucker for found family, that one.

aedira stayed more involved with the pact during seasons 1 and 2 than the canon commander, since she’s less involved with the egg/aurene/prophecy shenanigans. she was on her own airship at the beginning of heart of thorns, and got seriously injured trying to jump to trahearne + destiny’s edge’s ship during the attack. so as you can imagine she feels responsible for losing them and has a super bad time a. losing her mother figure (eir) and b. trying to race against a dragon and speedrun a war to save her best friend.

because i’m cruel and horrid this is not a trahearne lives household, and his death spurs aedira’s apeshit arc/downward spiral in season 3 :) fun stuff
